Explore the amazing history and horticultural significance of these stunning plants with our head gardener Robin Andrews. The class will begin with tea, coffee and pastries with Robin before you learn how to propagate, cultivate and make the most of these most flamboyant blooms and their 42 varieties. Robin will also share how to take cuttings, giving the opportunity to take your own cuttings to grow at home, as well as how to lift and store the tubers in preparation for the next season. During the session, you will have a homemade cookie break, with a lunch served at the end in the conservatory or outside on the terrace.

Visit the Hauser and Wirth gallery in Somerset, just a 40 minute drive from Summer Lodge. A world-class multi-purpose arts centre, the gallery has a focus on conservation and sustainability with a focus on contemporary art.
With free entry to the gallery and garden, you'll have plenty of time to explore. Current exhibitions include Gustav Metzger and Eduardo Chillida. There are also morning pilates sessions every Tuesday and Thursday, which cost just £5 per person.

Our Afternoon Tea Masterclass Experience marries a selection of the finest PMD Teas with our Afternoon Tea sandwiches, scones and pastries. The experience is hosted by Dananjaya Silva, Managing Director of PMD Tea. Dan will guide you through the history of tea and how to expertly pair tea with food, creating the ultimate masterclass experience.
