Within Hardy’s enchanting village of Evershot

Travelling by car...

From London (3 hours)
Take the M3 to the M27. Exit onto the A31 and after approximately 31 miles, you will reach the A35 (at the Bere Regis Roundabout). Follow Dorchester signs onto the A35. Once you pass Dorchester Exit, follow the A37 towards Yeovil and after 26 miles, turn left at the sign for Evershot.

An alternative route from London takes the M3 until Junction 8, then exit onto the A303 and after approximately 65 miles (at the Sparkford Roundabout) follow Sherborne B3148 onto A359. At Yeovil take the A37 for Dorchester and after 9 miles turn right at the sign for Evershot.

From Bath (1 1⁄4 hours)
Take the A367 to Shepton Mallet, then A37.

From Bristol (1 1⁄4 hours)
Take the A37.

From Exeter (1 1⁄4 hours) and West
Take the A30 to Crewkerne, then A356 towards Dorchester - left turn for Evershot is signed after 8 miles.

From Heathrow (2 1⁄2 hours) and Gatwick (3 hours)
M25, M3, M27, A31, A35, A37.

From the Midlands and North of England
Take the M5 to Taunton, exit at Junction 25, follow signs to Yeovil - A35, A303 and A3088.

By air

Bristol Lulsgate serves many British and European airports and is about 1.5 hours drive. Exeter and Bournemouth (Hurn) International Airport are approximately a 1 hour drive.

Arrive by helicopter by prior arrangement. Landing is in an adjacent private agricultural field and a landing fee is payable to the landowner. Further conditions, apply including advance notice of at least 5 working days.

By rail

There are fast services (approximately 2 ½ hours) from London Waterloo to either Dorchester (South) or Yeovil Junction. Contact the hotel to arrange a transfer from either station. A taxi takes approximately 20 minutes.
