There is nowhere better to savour a delicious traditional Afternoon Tea than Summer Lodge Country House Hotel & Restaurant with a backdrop of the idyllic English countryside and surrounded by Dorset's rolling hills.
For many years we have welcomed guests and locals for our famous Afternoon Tea, which can be enjoyed in the Conservatory, Whisky Lounge, Drawing Room, or during finer weather, al fresco on the terrace overlooking our beautiful gardens.

You simply can’t visit Summer Lodge without enjoying a Traditional Afternoon Tea, and sampling some of the finest Dorset cream with your scones. Enjoy delicate finger sandwiches, freshly made scones and a glorious array of cakes and delicacies.

£55 per person with a glass of Bride Valley Crémant Dorset Champagne or £60 per person with a glass of Lanson Black Label
Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free and Halal options are available with 24 hrs notice. Please advise at the time of booking. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer an Afternoon Tea that is both Vegan and Gluten Free. For more details, please check our FAQs below.

Our Afternoon Parties are a popular way of hosting celebrations, especially for those catching up with friends, hosting a baby shower, marking a birthday, or holding bridal showers.
Choose between a sweet or savoury menu and invite your nearest and dearest to indulge in luxurious cakes, pastries, and dainty finger sandwiches. Private rooms are also available for an extra charge.

Set amidst lush gardens, the ambiance is perfect for a serene and delightful winter celebration.
Here at Summer Lodge, we use only the best and most seasonal produce to showcase the finest that Dorset has to offer, with a light and delicate touch that allows the ingredients to speak for themselves.
