What changes have you made during the Covid-19 pandemic?

What major credit cards are accepted?
All major credit cards are accepted including American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, Switch, Delta and Solo.
Is there a dress code?
Dress code for dinner is smart casual. Shorts, sandals and t-shirts are not permitted. Jackets for gentlemen are preferred.
What is the check-in time?
Check-in time is after 3pm.
When must I check out of the room?
On the day of your departure, please vacate your room by 12pm. Please contact reception should you require a later checkout time..
Do you offer room service?
Yes, we have 24-hour room service and there is also someone on duty 24 hours' a day if you need assistance.
Do all rooms have internet access?
Yes, we provide complimentary high-speed WI-FI. All rooms are also equipped with two analogue telephone lines. This allows you to use the primary number as your direct telephone line and the second line for a fax machine or laptop computer.
Are you a family-friendly hotel?
Yes we welcome children of all ages.
Is parking free of charge?
Yes, we offer complimentary parking facilities on site.
How do I get to Summer Lodge?
Summer Lodge is located in Evershot, Dorset. The nearest train station is Yeovil and we will happily arrange transfers for you in our luxury air-conditioned vehicle to and from here as well as other destinations should you need to. Click here for directions to the hotel.
What is the nearest town?
Yeovil is the nearest town to Summer Lodge, approximately a 15-minute drive from the hotel. We also have the picturesque town of Sherborne and the historic Dorchester both only a 25 minute drive from Summer Lodge.
Are you a pet-friendly hotel?
Pets are welcome in our guest bedrooms and a range of pet beds and menus are available. This can be arranged when making your reservation. Please ensure to give prior notification. A deposit is required upon arrival to protect against any potential damages. This will be returned to you at the end of your stay, if there is no damage caused. Are dogs allowed to roam free lead in the gardens?
No, dogs must be kept on their leads at all times in the gardens.
What is included in the Afternoon Tea?
Delicate finger sandwiches, freshly made scones, a glorious array of cakes and delicacies and specially selected local teas.
Can we sit outside to have Afternoon Tea?
Our sunny terrace is the perfect setting to enjoy your afternoon tea in the summer months.
What type of cuisine is served in the restaurant?
Is the Terrace a separate restaurant or just a different menu?
Our Terrace menu is served in the Conservatory, or outside on the Terrace (weather permitting). The Terrace menu offers lighter options.
What menu is included if I have booked the dinner, bed and breakfast offer?
Our dinner, bed and breakfast offer includes the à la carte menu or the Terrace menu. You may enjoy our incredible tasting menu for a small supplement of £14 per person.
What menus do you serve at lunch?
We offer a reduced lunch menu, which has a choice of three starters (£8 - 10), three mains (£15 - 20) and three desserts (£8).
What menus do you serve at dinner?
We have three menus available at dinner. The à la carte (three-courses for £71), the Tasting menu (£85, or £170 with wines) and the Terrace menu (individually priced).
What menu is served for Sunday lunch?
The Sunday lunch menu is a three-course menu priced at £39 per person. This menu changes on a weekly basis so that we can ensure the freshest, seasonal ingredients are used.
What activities are there to do in the area?

• Spa facilities, tennis courts and a croquet lawn in the hotel grounds
• Visiting the stunning Jurassic Coast – we can organise charted boat trips from Weymouth

• Lovely walks both in the countryside and along the coast

• Seasonal workshops which include; mindfulness, floral and Christmas wreath making.
What activities are there for children?
The children’s den in the garden is complete with colouring books, games and cuddly toys. Children are welcome to use the swimming pool, when accompanied by an adult from 6.30am to 10.30am or from 4.30pm to 10.30pm. We also have tennis courts and a croquet lawn. Falconry is an excellent activity for all ages. We can also arrange local horse riding, or fossil hunts on Charmouth beach. We recommend you to book activities in advance with our Reception team.
What facilities does the spa have?
Our luxurious spa consists of a heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and fitness studio. The swimming pool is 10 metres long, 6 metres wide and 4 foot in depth.
How much is it for use of the spa facilities for non-residents?
We charge £30 for a half day (4 hours) and £50 for a full day (8 hours). We offer a reduced rate of £15 per person for any guests staying at The Acorn Inn.
